Dock4Droid multitasking app

Give it a try mate. My tips are: set the dock activation area to be really thin so you have to kinda glide your thumb onto the screen to launch it
Disable the blue thing that shows where the activation area is
Set the icons and arc to be pretty big

Is that the one that uses proximity sensor?

It allows you to have four docks, one that touches the left, right, too and bottom of the screen, but GMD GestureControl also allows gestures too. It uses the touchscreen to monitor hand movement in a particular pattern, so called "gestures", with these patterns of movement designed not to interrupt the flow of daily operation.

For example I assigned a "gesture" in which I touch the bottom-right corner of the screen and move my thumb in an upward direction until I've covered a quarter of that side of the screen. That then activates a "scroll to top of page" action for web browsers. It doesn't work in all web browsers but it does in Dolphin Browser, a brilliant performing browser in my opinion. I made another gesture with a "scroll to bottom of page" which is exactly the reverse of this, and starts at a quarter of the way up from the bottom right corner and ends at the bottom right corner.

To activate the bottom dock I assigned it to have only running programs, and assigned a gesture in which I have two fingers on the screen and move downwards.

The same type of gesture is applied for the left, right and top docks, but moving in their appropriate directions.
