Hi all

So I did a new CWM backup yesterday as a matter of routine, flashed an IcS ROm and decided I didn't like it so wanted to go back to my CMW backup.

Went through the restore process and it says complete but then when the phone restarts, it has the android screen you get when taking a new phone out the box. It's like only the core Os has been restored and nothing else..

Tried restoring from it again and this time did it using the advanced method where I installed system, data etc one by one.. No change.

Does this mean I have lost everything? :(

This sort of thing is quite common it would seem when people try to flash back to Gingerbread from ICS. Did you flash a .PIT file when you changed to ICS?

I have gone between ics and gb several times and had occasional blip when it would not restore. To remedy I used odin and flashed original stock rom back then cf insecure kernel to root which gave me the same cwm I previously had, then restored without problem from there.
