Does A Bigger android screen, Easier to type?

I currently have an HTC myTouch 4g and I hate typing on this phone, I have tried many keyboard apps and they all suck. Does a bigger screen make it the typing experience easier and better?

I would think it depends on what you do not like about typing on the phone, is it because it is picking up the wrong keys? that may be resolved with larger screen. But if it is because of the mechanics of typing on the phone, then I do not think size will make a big difference.
I am a pretty fast keyboard typist and get annoyed by how much slower i type on a phone :)

imo yes. When I sometimes have to use my old htc magic, I keep pressing wrong keys, just generally being slower. And then when I get back on to my galaxy note, I'm as fast as anything.

That's why I like Swype. I'm a big guy with big fingers and typing is impossible for me on a touch screen, even my 4.2" Droid X. Swypeing my big meaty index finger from letter to letter in a word is much easier than trying to poke that same fingers at the right letter or "God forbid" use my thumbs.

My Nexus came installed with a crappy Samsung keyboard for some reason. I hated it until I disabled the Samsung keyboard and began using the stock one.

I think it definitely does. I have used stock, SwiftKey, smart keyboard, swype, etc on various phones. I have had phones with screen sizes of 3.5, 3.7, 4.0, 4.3, and 4.5 inches over the last 3 years. IMO it is definitely easier to type on a larger screen regardless of which keyboard is being used.

Now when I try to type on anything less than a 4.0 inch screen I can't stand it.

Depends how you type. I can never used to using all ten fingers to type on a touch screen. I prefer to hold the device in both hands and just use my thumbs. A phone screen is too small. A 10 inch is too big; I find it hard to reach all the letters. With a 7 inch screen in the portrait orientation, I find this to be a perfect size for my thumb typing.
