Root Does a wipe leave things behind?

Whenever I wipe everything to flash a new ROM my wallpaper is always saved. Odd, since I thought EVERYTHING should go. Now here's the weirder part... I have to reenter my wifi's password on setup but it's remembered my work's wifi password.

I wipe the cache, dalvik, factory reset, system, and android secure everytime I flash a ROM.

I never had this problem when I was running 4EXT as my recovery and actually liked it better but I don't know how to go back. I got TWRP v2.3.3.0 when I followed the tutorial to get S-Off.

Thoughts?

Data isnt getting fully wiped

The 4ext app takes care of installing the recovery......

A wipe should clear everything since its eraseing everything. You might have some of your settings saved to your Google account or if you don't wipe data

True, could be Google restore related as well.

Try wiping multiple times before a flash, and don't allow Google to restore to the phone and you'll have your answer

It must be Google. I flashed a ROM and skipped the Google sync and no wallpaper. Then I flashed it again with the sync and got the wallpaper back.

Weird.

Sense ROMs keep wallpaper and brightness data on the SD card I believe

I have noticed this as well . Im not sure how...... my theory is somehow the wallpaper you choose must stay on the SD card somewhere. for example I am running angry bean and if I wipe all partitions and reflash . My wallpaper stays the same and I am using a custom image,. Not one from the ROM itself

I have never once had this issue lol. Only thing that restores from my google account is contacts though. Lol
