Help Does anyone have any issues with trying to send pics while in call??

Was wondering if someone can help me out with this question:

When I'm on the phone with someone, I'll try to send pictures while in call I never had any issues before, but since I reset my phone, I can't send pictures to anyone while I'm in call. Has anyone had this issue before? It never had any problems before and now when I tried to send a picture to my friend, he wasn't on his cell phone, but it still said "sending" until I actually got off the phone with him. I don't know if it's something the phone is doing or if I did something... Any answers would be greatly appreciative! Thanks!

Oh that's crap! It never had any problems with sending pictures while I was in-call with people and now I had just started noticing it :( oh well, that's Metro for ya!

Try sending it while on wifi, because i know you can access the internet while on a call if you use wifi so it might work for sending pictures.

Wont work pics are sent by the DATA NETWORK. You need access to the data network to send SMS mms messages. While In call you don't have acsess to the data network

MMS doesn't work via Wifi. As mentioned, it uses the data network itself. If you are using an SMS app to send pics, this will be the case. MMS doesn't send via wifi as there is no metropcs service that can connect a phone to another phone via the typical old internet, but it can only via its cell network.

Perhaps the reason your pics send when Wifi is more so related to the way your phone's radio configuration is set. Many weird things can happen with smartphones.

lies. The data network >could< be accessed via wifi... The phone conenects to the network through a port, when in a call theres no way to connect to the port cause like homeboy said, cdma limitations.... When on wifi the port can be accessed even while ina call cause the picture would be sent through the port itself, using that connection ...

I don't believe I'm lying unless you can provide proof of what you claim you "could" do.

We seem to be getting these two mixed and I want to establish the differences now. Wifi uses access points like a WAP or wireless routers. SMS/MMS uses CDMA 2G radio signals.

When you send any message via SMS or MMS, it uses and only uses the standard CDMA cell towers that MetroPCS supports. However, to my knowledge, they do not support nor design any type of network service that would extend their CDMA signals over to the internet to be used via Wifi as this would defeat the very purpose of the cell phone business.

The only way I can see your claim hold water is if we can confirm that MetroPCS houses some sort of voice data network that does in fact connect each phone in service to the internet and thus enable MMS to be sent via internet wifi, but I very much doubt this.
