Does anyone have the block that Metro is offering for $1? Does it tell the caller they are blocked? What does it do besides the obvious?

Also I know it blocks texts, does it tell them they are blocked as well?

*Block unwanted calls or texts
*Create an individual block list
*Manage and store all privacy preferences on your phone
*Report DoNotCall and debt collector violations easily and accurately to FTC.
To answer your question, if a blocked person calls you, they'll only hear the ring two or three times and it'll just simply hang up. Won't go to voicemail or get a message saying they're blocked.
Personally I don't use it because I don't have any people I don't wanna hear from or block or anything like that lol

I just started to use this app myself, and I have a couple numbers blocked, but still able to get through? Any ideas why there there able to still get through?

Yes there have been some test calls made with the app where the blocked call ACTUALLY came through. The receiver phone automatically picks up the call for 2-3 seconds and hangs up by itself
That was around 3 weeks ago but I'm sure that's getting worked out by now. Some of my customers said it works perfect Otherwise, try to refresh the device and/or reinstall metro block it. That should do it.

I installed Metro Block-it and, borrowing a phone, test texted/called myself with that # blocked.
The calls were blocked, but the text still got through. Idk why.

There should be an option on the app to block their text messages as well.

WELL U ASKED ABOUT THE METRO BLOCKED. DOES IT WORK , HELL YEAH AND U CAN SEE HOW MANY TIMES THEY CALLED YOU. IT JUST DON'T BLOCK OUT BAD PEOPLE IT ALSO BLOCK WHEN THEY BLOCK THEIR NUMBER, OR WHEN BILL COLLECTORS CALL WITH BLOCKED 800 NUMBERS. U HAVE TO GO TO THE BLOCK OPTIONS AND MAKE SURE THEY ALL ARE HIGHLIGHTED, AND WHEN U CUT OFF YOUR PHONE IT STOPS . Well, first of all the Metro app was not working for me. Sometimes calls would be blocked, other times they wouldn't be blocked. So I deleted the app and re-installed it. The VERY first call from a blocked number not only got through, it rang 4-5 times, and went to voicemail-and of course they left a message.
As far as call blocking apps available on the market, I have yet to find ONE LOUSY APP that does what it claims-actually BLOCKS calls. Every app I've tried has sent the calls straight to voicemail, which not only is NOT blocking them, I can do that in the "edit contacts" section on my phone.

I personally tried a lot of 'call blockers' and none of them worked for my LG-Esteem. The ONLY one that worked for my phone was 'Extreme Call Blocker Droid' and for that, your phone must have firmware version 'ZVD' before this call blocker actually works with it. Why? Well previous versions of firmware of the LG-MS910 were sending erroneous info to this call blocker because there was a bug in the baseband ( telephony ), and thus it couldn't do its job correctly; I had version 'ZVB' and even this call blocker wouldn't work with my phone, but after I upgraded to 'ZVD' it works flawlessly 24/7 with no hiccup, and in my phone it does it fast and silently which means no ring at all and the nasty call gets truly blocked everytime without letting that unwanted call leave any voicemail of any sort, also the app lets you create different profile for different situations and you may tie it to a schedule if desired, the app developer is always helpful and courteous and usually respond to e-mails pretty fast. So far I'm happy with it since it hasn't failed me yet.
