Does Class Matter?

This may have been answered in other forums. But as well all know the Archos 70 and 101 can take microSDHC cards. Does the class rating for these cards really matter? I mainly used class 4 for my Creative Zen and they worked just fine. The class 4 microSDHC cards I got for my Archos 70 work fine too. I was wondering if the higher classes would show any improvement in video playing\music playing.

Probably if you're watching a video that's atleast 4mbps, likely more since these things are usually faster than their rating.

Realistically tho, you'll only feel the difference when you're copying data into it. Which kinda matters when you're writing 30gigs worth of videos on it.

Data Transfer Rate (DTR)

Class 2 guaranteed minimum DTR 2MB/sec.
Class 4 guaranteed minimum DTR 4MB/sec.
Class 6 guaranteed minimum DTR 6MB/sec.

Speed at which data is read/write

class 4 should be fine for what you are doing with it, My cards are all class 4 and I can run all my movies I throw at it just fine.
