Hiya...
I'm rooted running MikG 2.56 ROM so not sure how to direct others to get to where I am but I DO remember this feature on stock Gingerbread (rooted or otherwise). It's the "Default Message" feature....
For my phone, go to Home —> Menu —> Settings —> Call —> PHONE SETTINGS and there I have the options "Edit Default Message" "Edit Message" and "Save to Contact" (last option is irrelevant).
I have NEVER gotten this to work...never gotten this to prompt me to EDIT the default message before it is sent.
The only thing I DO get lately if a call gets to voicemail or is rejected/declined by my choice is the following Sprint message in my texts indicating that my attempt send a text failed:
From: 9230
Message sent using invalid number of digits. Please resend using 10 digit number or valid short code. Msg 2114
So there is clearly some attempt at sending a text being made however (1) I don't see it happen; (2) I can't edit it as I have chosen and (3) it is screwed up and produces an error message.
Anyone else notice this error? Anyone get this thing to work?
THANKS!!
