Help Does disabling location data disable ALL phone/internet

My phone won't register my Sim cards, i tried two different sims both on the same network which the phone is locked to.
I disabled location data, both GPS and the other thing,

For some reason, i never get a signal "NO SIM CARD IN PHONE" allways shows on the lock screen no matter what, both Sims are activated, neither register, this thing is starting to piss me off allot, and i really hope i can get a solution from you guys if you know any, would be appreciated.

Signal bars are blank with an X above them.
What do i do to rectify it? as for my phone it's a Wildfire S but i somehow doubt the make and model is relevant.

Aw F*** me! the SIM was just inserted upside down!
the inexperienced saleswoman just put it in the wrong way due to the lack of a very clear insertion instructions due to the dark surface, and i was inserting it the wrong way all this time! it just came to me when i was inspecting the slot for potential contact damage! oh it is great to know that the phone is not damaged.

Yeah, and I've done that more than once myself. It is a good lesson though. I'll bet you'll know just what to do next time.
