Does hard resets slow your phone down?

Hi, in the past I have Already done the hard-reset twice, once while phone was on and once while I had to go into the boot menu because I cannot turn on the phone. Lately there were a lot of problems with my captivate and I plan to have to do my third hard-reset. My question is, does performing hard resets slow down or hurts the phone hardware in any way? Because I don't want my phone to become slow or glitchy because I reseted it too many times :)

Well I hope you guys can help me out, Thanks!

Hard reset sped mine up quite a bit. A hard reset should always speed things up. Should not hurt the flash memory at all.

If you're hard-resetting so frequently, odds are you have a bad app slowing down your phone. After hardresetting, install and test your apps one by one until you find the one that's causing the problem. Then uninstall it.

I have about 200 apps. I love apps :)

Everytime I installed a new app, I made it run through its paces to make sure that it played nicely on my phone.

There were a few bad apps I caught this way. They forced closed and made me do battery pulls. Needless to say, those apps got deleted as soon as I got my phone running again.

Not all apps are written well. And some apps don't play well with other apps. You have to do your due diligence to prevent having to hard reset to fix the prob. And if you don't find the bad app, you're going to be doing this again.

Good luck.
