Does HTC sync to POP3 like my BB???

I am looking to get the HTC Eris soon to replace my BB Curve. I tried the MotoDroid, but it did not sync to my Outlook POP3 email like the BB, meaning it only "pulled" emails every 5,10, 30 minutes etc....I also like Sense UI, so I returned the Moto.

Does the HTC phone push email from my POP3 email accounts like a BlackBerry?

Note: I do not use an exchange server with the BB, and I do not plan to with my new phone either.

not natively no, but there is an app for that, called k9 email, if you set it up as imap (you should be able too) it can be pushed.
