Root Does oc kill battery faster?

I think the confusion you are having is sometimes people refer to both underclocking and overclocking as just overclocking in general. This is because there are "overclocking programs" that do both.

If you actually overclock, you might get better performance, but you get worse battery

Well, does it? I searched around a bit and was having many different opinions. Can help?

Over clocking will drain your battery. I have noticed quite a drastic cut in battery life with my over clock to 787. I'm going to invest in one of the extended batteries because I simply don't want to go back to the 600mhz stock speed.

Or try set cpu and can make a profile so when your screen is off its underclocked. I mean you gotta pay for it but its worked for me, but it seems to have issues with velocity 1.

im overclocked to 806 mhz or whatever velocity is set at around there.
avid texting all day long, facebooking, etc and i usually get a full day out of my battery.
unplugged at 8 am til around 2 am is when it get put back on its charger.

What! How is that possible overclocking at 806 and lasting all day. Is that even possible while texting and facebook?

Or are you using a extended battery?
