Root Does Root on Thunderbolt Allow use on 4G WIMAX network

I am in Jamaica frequently. Digicel provides a 4G WIMAX but not 4G LTE wireless phone network. If I root my phone will that enable me to use a Digicel sim card in my HTC Thunderbolt ? Thanks.
 
Nope. For the Thunderbolt to work on WiMax the Thunderbolt would need an antenna and a radio for Wimax. Which would be a hardware change not a software.
