Root does rooting always wipe settings?

Does any root completely wipe your phones settings. I don't have an sd yet so I just want to know... specifically the droid 3 root obviously...

I haven't heard of any root that wipes your phone.so your clear.have fun.

Correct, the only difference you should see its the Super User icon in your app drawer.
