does sgs2 have cpu paste

[Android Question]

hi all
i have a samsung galaxy s2 which when playing games heat up phone, can i change it's cpu thermal paste or doe's it even have paste.

Thermal paste will improve heat transfer from the CPU to the heat sink - which will cause the case to heat up. (If you're thinking that paste keeps the CPU from heating up, it doesn't.) Pushing the CPU, like playing games, is supposed to cause it to heat up.

I'm not sure you'd want to attempt to do this given how small the form factor is for a device like the S3. I'm guessing that removing the CPU would damage it anyway before you could even reapply any thermal paste.

These devices are not really built as dedicated gaming platforms--they're okay for short periods of time, but you really do need to be careful to monitor how hot your device gets.
