Help Does Swype come already installed on VM HTC Wildfire S?

Hello everyone, I just purchased the Virgin Mobile HTC Wildfire S. When I go into Menu>Keyboard it shows Swype Settings but I dont see Swype installed anywhere on my phone nor does it give me the option to use Swype as my keyboard. Was Sywpe supposed to come installed already on this phone? I hope there isnt anything wrong with my phone. Thanks in advance for everyones help

It came with Swype on mine. Just hold your finger in any text area and a Select Input Method button should pop up. Nothing promised because I don't have the phone on me to test it, but through that you should be able to change the input method to Swype.

I heard about Swype, but never though about checking it out, just plugging along with the default keyboard :) Thanks hanginghelpmet for bringing up the question and primetech for the answer. I love the Swype now, especially after I realized my language was set to Spanish instead of English :o. Now the word suggestion n spell check actually works too

That made me laugh, thanks!

Glad you got it figured out!

The Wildfire rendition of Swype has the word suggestion bar and numbers across the top. So it looks and acts more like Swype 3.26, even though its version number is 2.72.

Strange? Stranger yet, Swype 2.72 is on Virgin Mobile's Optimus Slider and it doesn't look or act like it does on the Wildfire S.
