Does the phone get hot?

Just wondering if this phone gets as hot as the triumph when using mobile data.

i don't know about the MT but i had the OV(it got hot) and this stays cooler but i bet that's mostly due to how under powered the OV was in comparison... but it did get warm playing draw something, must be a resource hog...

Does not get as hot. If you use Wifi while charging the battery, it gets a little warm. But not as much so as the Triumph.

It shouldn't get hot (off the charger) mainly cause it's underclocked. My 1.5gHz overclocked MT doesn't get too hot unless I use it for a long time or if it's plugged in while in use.

I've tried the "app killer" and I kill all apps then I open the app killer again and some of the apps are back on again. Anyway my phone gets warm whether it's being charged or not. Last night I went to bed and it was almost fully charged so I left it off the charger. This morning it was completely dead. Any help would be appreciated! This is my first smart phone. Why should apps be running when not in use anyways?

Mine can get pretty toasty when I play something like homerun battle 2 for a while. Probably due to the real time online battles. Can use of day so I'm guessing thats why. Only app I use that really heats mine up.

Suggestion...don't us Task Killers. With any Gingerbread or newer Android phone, Task Killers are not needed.

Since I am posting from my phone, I cannot find the links, but check out some of the posts on the form, and you will see several threads explaining the reason Task Killers are not needed.

Correctm android does a very good job of maintaining its memory processes, and using task killers usually just makes it worse because your fighting the systen.

My evo v got pretty hot today, hot enough to where I think it's abnormal:
I was using gps for directions in the car, approx 20 min of use. Then i was using 4G to surf the web, about 10-15 minutes. After that, i noticed that the phone was pretty hot to touch, and so i turned off 4g and stopped using it for awhile. of course, it cooled down.

However, the temp today was probably 95-100F, so that might've been a contributing factor.

edit: under regular indoor use (wifi), my phone doens't really get hot.

Mine gets hot when I'm using 4G to surf or watching videos but I think it's normal. I've never worried about it and it's never rebooted or caused an issue on the MobsterRom. That Rom is miles ahead of the stock offering.
