Does the rebate even work?

I've seen people say that they've never received it. Did you buy this phone with a mail in rebate and did you get it. What did you do?
 
Yes,l they do work it just that it takes a long time to receive it took mines almost 3 months to receive when I got my esteem last year they send you a prepaid card
 
For my rebate it took no joke about 7 or 8 months of me calling metro and them having no record of it and all this fun junk. But I got it... eventually.
 
It took them like 3 months but i did receive it. I even called them once thinking they had not received the form. But they had.
 
still haven't received mine. have sent it in a few times. i have called & used chat, to be told to "send it in again" & they have said: "The product MEID/DEC code in your submission could not be found." or they "never received it" at all. the MEID/DEC is clearly visible and correct, even had a metro worker check it for me (after the first "failed attempt" which took 3 months for them to process, then decline). and i have sent it direct from post office, too. i could understand one or the other happening, once, BUT it has been a YEAR & still nothing, ffs :mad:
i rarely use facebook, so i guess i'll log on & try my luck there. it is all so absurd, to be laughable.

at this point, it isn't just the money but the horrible mishandling by metro that may lead me to switch carriers.
 
I know this is after the fact but something to consider next time.. I've noticed that a lot of times metro is offering a mail in rebate wirefly will sell it for the same amount with instant rebate plus tax free.. got my esteem for 249.99 flat with shipping.. can put metro insurance on it still too..just fyi
 
I had got mines a month after i sent it in for the lg esteem, but for both the huawei ascend it took about 2 to 3 months.
