Does this phone have a completely SILENT mode??

Went to visitation at a funeral home last night. Put my Note 3 on "MUTE" before I entered. While doing the chit-chat thing, the Note 3 thinks it hears "Hi Galaxy" and my pants start talking to me.

Is there a totally silent mode on this phone, or do i just need to shut it off?

Open S-voice, tap on the settings key. Scrill down to Wake up, turn off Voice wake up. That will keep it from accidently turning on in situations where silence is essential.

I've found when I mute the phone if your press the volume down the media is usually still on full if you lower that as well nothing should make a sound at all.
