Does this phone work as a Gophone

Has anybody tried useing the atrix for a gophone? I did a google search but didnt get satisfactory answers. Im considering getting one and the way i understand calling and messaging isnt a problem, but im wondering if the $25 1gigabyte data package will work, also will it be 4g or 3g or only edge. Would love hearing from anybody that has tried this; or knows anything about it. Thanks!!

If it's AT&T Go Phone, it should work as you're using the same network.

It will work. You can get the $50 unlimited talk and text and the best is the $25 1 gb. And you will be running at 4g speeds where the service is available.

I have a Motorola atrix 2 4g... and I'm use it as a gophone. Attgo only offers 3g service. The atrix 2 4g apparently will only pick up 4 g service, and will not work with attgos 3g service. I have had my phone for over a year, and tried the regular data unlimited plan, and paid extra for the 1g data plan. It was a waste of money. Data would just not work AT ALL with a gophone sim card because the atrix2 is unlike most phones that will pick up a 3 or 4g signal. I have talked to countless att reps and they all have told me that data will not work on this phone period because they don't offer any 4g support, and the phone wasn't designed to accept a 3 g signal. If you got it to work, please let me know how. I've been trying for over a year with no success.
