Does uninstalling apps leave junk behind?

I did a quick forum/google search and could not find much info, but I was wondering if constantly installing and uninstalling apps had any negative effect on the phone (such as leaving random registry things, data, etc. behind).

Perhaps a Linux guy can shed more light on this?

Linux does not use a registry. Everything is a file.

As far as what uninstalling an app may leave behind, that's probably a better question for the development forums.

That should be all thats left behind. You don't have to worry about it bogging down the system like in WinMo.

I was wondering the same thing, being that I'm fresh from winmo and all those problems.

Thanks. I keep thinking I should periodically do a fresh install, well you know, just to keep thing running smoothly. Years of Windows habits are tough to break. Guess I'll just leave 'er be.
