Help Does xoom have a workable GPS?

I would like to use my Motorola Xoom as a GPS in my travels within the US. Is this something that is possible and reasonably simple?

It has GPS builtin, just turn it on in settings -> location.

Get an app that has maps that doesnt need internet to use them.

I had to learn that the hard way with the default GPS luckily i knew my way home

As others have indicated it has a GPS. If you have a 3G/4G data plan then you are all set. If you tether it to your phones date plan you are set. If you have neither you can still use Google navigation. You have to load it and cycle through the map while still using wifi. I have used this once like this. The GPS still works and will drive you but if your route changes you somewhat screwed. I have not tried an app that does not require internet. Not sure how that would really work in terms of showing you any maps.
