Help Does your phone dialer look like this? (the hash key)

Sorry I can't post a picture because I am using my PC- I just got my new Samsung Galaxy Note 2 yesterday.

But having problems with sound and on MY phone dialer, the hash key (#) has a small speaker (a sideways bell) beside the # with a mark crossing it out. I am wondering what that means. My back speaker is working and my headphones are working but the regular earpiece is not and I am wondering if this symbol might be related to my problem.

that button makes the phone sound to "Vibrate" !!!! has nothing to do with the phone jack
