Help Does your samsung S2 shut down by itself?

Yes, that happens to me alot, I sometimes think my phone is haunted....lol Sometimes, it will respond very slow, I try to dial a number, and it takes forever to respond. Also takes longer than I think it should when I pull my face away from the phone to get the dial screen back up. I dont understand any of the info that refers to ''tethering'', ''rooting'' and launchers

Other than that, I love my phone and shudder to think of possible having to do a factory reset. Everything is on my phone!!

Download Helium Backup from the play store here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.koushikdutta.backup
And tell it to backup everything to where you want. I would suggest your external SD card. It will even backup your text messages. Normally you make sure you drag the panel at the bottom up and uncheck the App Data Only box, so it backs up your apps too, but since you problem could be caused by misbehaving apps, i would redownload and install the apps and just restore their data.
This way you can do a factory reset and restore back what you need.

Yes, you are right, the same thing my phone does.
This phone is good in general but have those issues.

Here i have being advised to root the phone, meaning to go into the system of the phone via a software downloaded, etc.

i get afraid to do that anyways, i just have to deal with these problems
