Does your turbo read your texts while you are driving?

When you get a message in the car, does it ask you first before reading the message?

You can tell I don't get many texts. I've had the feature on for a month now and haven't had a chance to see how it acts. At home it does ask if you want it read out loud, but even though I'm less than a foot from my phone, it can't understand me. If it doesn't work in my quiet office it sure won't work in a noisy hatchback!

It prompts you to reply, "listen". If I want to listen, I usually turn my radio down first, and then it works perfectly. You also have a prompt for answering, "send text". It then gives you a chance to compose, and then verify that the message is correct before sending.

Must you have a bluetooth device available for Moto Driving Assist to work or will it utilize the phone's internal speaker?

Why doesn't my Turbo read texts through my radio? My Lumia Icon was connected to bluetooth read my messages through the radio instead of just the phone speakers. So frustrating to have to turn down the radio to hear texts etc.

I use Messages + with Moto Assist and my Turbo reads texts with no issues.
My husband uses Droid Maxx with Messages+ and Moto Assist. On our way shopping a few weeks ago, we both got the same text alert. Mine came in first, and when his announced the command prompt "listen", my Turbo responded and read the text.
I LOVE this! Soon, they won't need us... :-D

There is a setting in the Bluetooth menu asking if you want media and or phone audio to go through the BT device...At least I think that could help solve this.

With my 2013 Ford Taurus using Sync, in my Turbo Settings/Bluetooth/ Paired Bluetooth devices/Profiles I have the option to enable both Phone audio and Media audio. With my 2010 Chevy Suburban in Profiles I only have the option to enable Phone audio.

Thanks, but I have that option set to use BT for both phone and media audio. No go on using the Auto speaker for the Texts. Really frustrating.
