Help Doesn't make noise

My samsung Captivate doesn't make noise at all. The ringer, notifications and alarm volumes are all maxed out. It also ISN'T on silent. How do I fix it?

I remember one other person mentioning this once on the forum. Was a bad speaker and he had to get a replacement.

Are you still within 30 days of purchase?

i have same problem too. i own captivate more than 30 days what to do?

If it's defective, you can probably still return it. But they may have you RMA it and/or give you a refurb. I heard someone say they fixed it by pressing firmly on the back of the phone at the speaker grill.. probably still want to exchange it even if that does work.

Samsung did a pretty crappy job of quality control on these when they let them out the door.
