doesnt update in kies :(device disconnects and connects when i click update :(

hi i bought samsung galaxy tab 2 GT-p3100 yesterday and i installed latest kies...it prompted me a latest update when i clicked update its say in the bottom that device connection is lost and the automatically connects to kies and asks for the update again it goes like a loop pls some help me to sort this

I am having this same exact issue I connect my Galaxy Tab 2 it finds firmware update but refuses to download it and instead just resets the connection.

I have tried everything under the sun to make it update I have come to a single conclusion.

1. This is a known issue
2. Looks like Update ""5 is a lie on Kies

What I read trolling websites 4.04 is the newest update and I have that already installed on my Tablet its ""2 that its telling me needs to be updated to ""5

I think its either Samsung preparing for the Jelly Bean Update or the Kies update is not working properly and is giving false information.

Sky how did you update to that version? was it OTA or Kies

The update just installed for me using Kies. I have the same version as Skyroket too.

Looks like Kies sends out the update in waves just like OTA. I just gave Kies a try and Magically its letting me install the update with out a problem.

The kicker is nothing has changed no update to the software nothing.
