Help Dolphin Browser HD- taking up internal memory - how do I clear space??

Hi All,

Dolphin Browser continually takes up more and more memory. I have it set to use SD CARD STORAGE, but it still accumulates a lot of data on internal memory. I can go to Manage Applications and "Clear data" on the phone, but I then have to basically re-start DOlphin, import bookmarks again, and then takes me 30 minutes to reorder them in the order that I like them to be in. Very frustrating!

Questions:

1) What is this DATA that is taking up internal memory?
2) Where on the memory is it stored? Can I access it using Astro and delete it manually?

Any other suggestions and advice would be much appreciated!

Cheers

Brad

Presumably it's just the browser cache. If you go into Dolphin settings you can select to "Clear cache when exit". Does this solve your problem?

I don't see a clear cache when exit" option anywhere......

And under apps-manage apps, dolphin - the "clear cache" button uis greyed out and it says 0.00B. I've set it to not store browsing history. Maybe this is why it's greyed out?!

there isn't.

There's a "clear cache" button but nothing to make it do so automatically. I still don't really understand what it's caching, if I'm asking it not to save history, and also set it to use SD card for storage....

It sounds as if it's your bookmarks as when you cleared the data they disappeared. Do you have a lot of bookmarks? There is a dolphin add on app called "bookmarks to sd" so try installing that if you haven't already.

Ah ok. We must be on different versions. I've got Dolphin HD.

But I realise now that the data you're talking about isn't part of the cache anyway. It must be how Dolphin stores other information. How much space is your data file taking up?

Before you abandon dolphin hd completely did you try the bookmarks to sd add on I suggested?

Personally I'm happy with the 2.2 stock browser and I have dolphin hd as a back up.
