Moved your post to the LG Vortex area where folks more familiar with your phone will be better able to help you with your question.
I wonder what makes you think so. I used dolphin HD for a month since I first got vortex. It was just charm. It's not faster than stock browser in 2.2, but loads web pages smoothly with stable speed. It has more features and nice bookmark that you can always bring up from the left side.
Then I switched to dolphin mini just before the end of last year. I like that it has much smaller footprint in memory, but didn't notice much gain in speed. Maybe slightly faster than HD. I like that address bar and tabs always stay on top, but the bookmark hiding in menu is step back from HD.
