Dont get virgin mobile

In my experience, VM is a great company, they also have great customer service. We never experienced bad connections.
All our calls were of high quality reception. The only reason we moved on in our household is because 1. We found a great deal with our current phones, and 2. we are paying about the same monthly price we were paying at VM...

That is my two cents in this issue.

Yeah I guess I should contribute something at least partly useful. I agree with you, virgin is a pretty good provider. I've never had bad customer service on the few times I've had to call (albiet a little hard to understand the accent sometimes) and the only major issues I've had weren't network or service related, it was because I had the intercept as my first VM phone lol. But even then customer service would fix my issue at least for a little until the intercept crapped out again. And like its been said many times, its not the best network out there...but its just about the cheapest. I'm willing to have that seeing as their plans are so cheap!!

VM solely as a cellphone network, is alright. It's about average I would say. Definitely one or two steps down from Verizon in terms of coverage. Customer Service is about average from my experiences. The cell phones are meh. But for the price?? I am paying a third of what I used to pay with Verizon. I am certainly getting more than one third of the service. Considering the cost, it's a great company that provides good service and quality.

The Motorola Triumph stock is a sub-par phone. But if you peruse the All Things Root forum, there is a TON of support to install a clean update to your phone and make it so much better. Watch Minus5252's how-to videos and it's step by step process; kind of like baking a cake :) I used to not like the phone. It's one of my favorite phones now.

The way I see it is I'm saving over $60/month vs T Mobile. I very rarely have been anywhere where I didn't get service and the OV is way more powerful than the BB I had. I'm more than happy and see no downside. A friend pointed out that there's no 3 way calling on VM. Big deal, I have had one phone call like that ever, don't need that feature.

I'm new to Virgin.... a new Virgin.... heh, heh. :) But, found the tech support guy as helpful and friendly as can be. Activated my phone last week and LOVE IT!

You don't usually hear people say "I'm totally getting assraped, but I'm happy with the customer service" lol
Yeah virgin doesn't have the best phones as of today, but 2 years ago, all of them were considered top-of-the-line. We're just a couple of years behind in bells and whistles, but we get to still afford a delicious in-n-out burger once in a while.
