Rooting Galaxy S2 - A Dummies Guide

2. Flash either the Jelly Bean, "alpha", ROM or the CyanogenMod 10 ROM.

I dont. I thought that a full version was out. I just want my phone to work faster and better. Any help muchly appriated.

Then I would recommend trying out a stable Ice Cream Sandwich release instead

Here are the usual reasons for this, in no particular order...

Have you got the latest version of Kies with drivers installed?

Have you checked that you can connect to Kies?

Have you got Kies running in the background when using Odin?

Have you enabled USB debugging on your phone?

Are you in Download mode when connecting to Odin?

Does the ID:COM box turn yellow/light blue when you connect?

Have you tried a different USB port?

Have you got the correct CF-Root kernel?

I've done it. Thanks guys! im now downloading a version of ICS now. thanks a lot forall your help and advice.
