I got a Rezound this weekend, and was (for some dumb reason) under the impression that it was getting ICS imminently.
I am not a developer, and really having difficulty figuring out how to get ICS on the phone.
I saw this link: Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Update for HTC Rezound and have seen many others with similar instructions.
It seems crazy easy and straight forward, but it is just not working for me. I downloaded the file. I renamed it. I put it in my ext_SD folder. I restarted the phone in fastboot.
It runs and says "no image" or wrong image. About 10 lines that zip by fast all with errors. And that's it.
Am I putting it in the wrong folder? Is it possible that it's just a faulty file (It's a 600 MB file that I have download at like 10k/s from Rapidshare so it took me almost a day to download the thing - so hopefully I don't need to download it again)
I feel like a moron. The directions can't be any easier, but I can't get it to work. Because it's a new phone, I even re-set the phone to factory settings before doing this and it didn't work.
This is totally stock. Still locked.
I have downloaded HTC Synch if there's an easy way to put ICS on it that way.
Just so sick of handset manufacturers throwing all this crap bloatware on their phones, and I want ICS to at least disable it if I can't delete it.
