I have my Admire through nTelos wireless, can I download the generic CDMA update from the Samsung website and put that on my phone? Or would I need something specifically for nTelos? I kind of want a "stock" phone again and would like to try out the new update. Don't ask why, its just a "want" lol

Also, if I can use the generic update, how to I install it?

mmhhmm thats an interesting question actually im just gonna answer what i know for sure. the update tool is downloaded and installed onto your computer. you then put your phone into download mode, think Odin, and you press the ONE button that the tool has. Honestly the who updating process is simple. the "hardest" thing to do is putting the phone into download mode lol and then the waiting game.... you can not get the generic update from the samsung site cause they actually pulled it after all the complains that came from it. you can however get it here: http://androidforums.com/admire-all-things-root/454073-regarding-2-3-6-update-metropcs-solved.html
THE PROPER LINK FOR THE GENERIC UPDATE IS THE WITHIN THE FIRST HIDE BUTTON AND IS THE FIRST LINK AFTER THE SERIES OF STARS(********) THE FILE WILL BE ON 4SHARED TITTLED AS GCDMA_ACG_R720_Admire_EJ26_SimpleDL.exe



the fact of the matter here is that I dont know if the nTelos Admire will fully function after the update. you could fix the stuff that doesnt work with the guides created. normally id say make a backup and then try it but thats too risky.... honestly you might want to research this a little more. ive done that update myself just to try and it updated it but then i had to go through a lot of trouble to get back with everything working properly
