I have rooted my xperia pro with same method, search with'hackinthus How To Root Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro MK16i' and you can root the phone easily with it.

I've used this to root my ZTE Warp Sequent N861 with great success. Even with the B09 update. Though I was nervous because I didn't want to brick my phone it worked flawlessly. I didn't even have to download the adb drivers which shocked me as I am running windows xp 32 bit but when I connected to my pc, the drivers installed with no problems. First time with 100% success
