Help Dots on my Droid Incredible.

I have the Droid Incredible which I just got today. I recently saw that I have a lot of dots on my Droid Incredible screen in a grid like pattern. Is this normal?

I'm no expert on that phone but on my Moto Droid I expect my screen to be crystal clear. One of my friends has that phone and her screen is crystal clear. So no it's not normal.

Yes it is normal. What you are seeing is the digitizer grid. It is what receives your touch and communicates it to the processor. All touch screens have them and can be seen if you look at the screen at just the right angle and lighting conditions. For some reason they just show up more easily on the Incredible. My wifes i4 and my brothers DX both have the same dots.

I have the same dots on my Incredible. At first I thought that they were dead pixels, then I realized that there were a lot of them, and they were in a pattern. After seeing the grid very easily with the screen turned off, I realized that the grid was the cause of the dots. However, the dots continue to be quite visible on light colors when the screen is on. This is very annoying, and I am not sure if they are more visible on some phones than others...either way, I don't think it warrants taking it back to the store, because I doubt they would exchange it. Time to accept it...even though it really does look like there are a lot of dead pixels on the screen (not stuck pixels). Is anyone else bothered by the dots when the screen is ON? Just curious. Thanks!

Do you guys seeing dots have screen protectors? Oddly, I never noticed any dots until recently I took off the screen protector I got a few days after I got the incredible and put on a different one. I noticed the dots with the screen off and no protector, but with a protector on, I don't see dots. I don't know if it's just me... but if it really bugs you, maybe see if this helps?

I don't have a screen protector on mine. I've been thinking about getting one, but I'm super OCD and I worry about getting dust and fingerprints stuck under the screen. However, if it can make the grid dots not appear while the screen is on, then I will definitely give it a try. Does anyone else have experience with the dot situation in relation to screen protectors? The dots really do bother me when the device is on, but I have a feeling it is like this with all incredibles, and I'm just being picky :o

I must be blind because I do not see the dots. lol

Someone care to take a picture and show the dots? LOL

I guess I should've mentioned, I could only see the dots with the screen off. I didn't notice any dots with the screen on, protector or no. Looking closely now, I can still see them with the screen off and the phone tilted, I think for me, the screen protector made them less obvious (again, with screen off).
