Root Double emails

I initially was using the generic mail application which comes with my incredible. I then decided to try out the gmail app. Now I have two email notifications coming in for a single email. Is there anyway to get around this or do I have to do a factory reset and just only set up one email client? Thanks!

Just go into the settings in one of the mail apps and turn off notifications for that app.
