Help double notifications??

Im sorry if this sounds like a dumb question but im new to the android phones if anyone can help i would appreciate it much thank u.

I downloaded chomp sms for my galaxy s g4 now I get two notifications on my status bar. i know it tells me in to make sure that the notification setting in the built-in messaging app is turned off. how do i do that?

I moved this to the Galaxy S forum for you.

Open the stock messaging app, then click the menu button, choose settings and scroll down and uncheck notifications.

If in doubt about notifications, pulling down the notification bar and clicking on an entry will take you to the app that generated the notification. Notification settings are handled in the settings for each app.

If you're getting duplicate notifications then find the culprit and disable its notifications -- regardless of the specific type of app.
