I looked at my phone one day and realized there were two digital clocks on my main screen - one behind the other and the bad one had the wrong time. I found I had to move the good one to another window to get it out of the way to delete the other. Then I moved it back. The next day, there was no clock and I had to put it back.
Similarly one day I looked in my financial folder (a folder on main screen that had 3 financial apps) and found there were 6 - each of 3 duplicated). I removed the duplicates. The next day, the folder was empty. I had to put new copies back.
I assume apps on the display pages are just links to the real app. I have no idea why they duplicate themselves then disappear completely sometime after removing the duplicates.
Both problems occurred in a space of a couple of days. No more problems since.
The phone just hates me. I know it. It is out to get me. I guess I need to root it to teach it a lesson.
