Root Downgrading Problems

Hello,

I'm new to the forum and I've looked around for somebody who was having a problem similar to mine but I couldn't find anybody, so here it is:

I've been trying to downgrade my DHD so that I can root it. I've looked at quite a few tutorials and followed all the steps. However when I reboot my DHD into the bootloader, I get an error with the ZIP file that I put into my SD card. It seems to load or do something or other but then it says 'CID Error' and just tells me to press the power button to reboot my phone.

Some help would be much appreciated!

I had exactly the same problem - is your phone branded? My phone is on Orange... I think that could be your problem! If this is the causes, as Xyro said, you'd need to create a goldcard... not difficult: How To: Create a Goldcard | TheUnlockr You can download an app from the market https://market.android.com/details?...enther.android.goldcard&feature=search_result instead of using their way to get the number you'll require to make the goldcard.
