Root Download folder app is linked to what?

When I click on the downloads app in the drawer it shows "no downloads" but if I use ES file explorer and look at both the internal and external SD cards I have downloads on both cards.

It appears downloads are installing to the internal and then I can move them to the external thru ES file explorer. What is driving me crazy is that I cannot figure out what the downloads app is linked to since it does not appear to be either the internal or external SD cards. Any ideas?

I am running cleanROM DE 1.4, S-on, GB firmware, with the patch, if it matters.

Thanks

My guess is it's linked to the HTC STORAGE drive's /download folder by default. Downloads can be redirected to the /download folder on the external SD card, but I forget how as I did it months ago.

Thanks. I haven't had any luck with a search but I'll continue to look. Thanks again.

Download icon in your drawer refers to anything you downloaded from the phone's NATIVE browser. If you use a different browser, no downloads will show there. Instead, they show in you browsers settings .

Found this post which might provide some insight:
Change default download location? - xda-developers

I also found this tidbit:

"To save an image in an email or in the browser, long press on the image and a menu will appear allowing you to save it.

For images inside text messages, you might have to press and hold on the message itself, rather than the image.

Once saved, images should be located in the /phone/Download folder."
