Root Download / Install applications??

Ok, I have sucessfully installed the AOKP ROM on my Evo, but now I have a questions. I see there isn't a market/play icon to download apps anymore....

How do I get some of my applications to download again?? Do I have to do something different than the stock ROM??

Was there a Gapps file to download on the site where you got that rom?

As dustwin stated, there should be a Gapps (google apps) file somewhere in the OP for you to flash.

AOSP ROMS generally aren't allowed to include google apps in the ROM. They must be flashed seperately.

I think I have noticed some roms having their own version of gapps, so I was wondering if this rom was one of them.

But in case generic gapps will do, here are some from our rom and sticky page.

The gapps I linked was updated in Feb. Its the one all the ICS roms use.

No problem, thought I noticed some special gapps but I haven't kept up with it.

I'll take my link down to avoid confusion.

edit: be cool if the rom and gapps and kernels were on our sticky?

Yes, our ROM & kernel download sticky needs some revamping. We will be getting on it. OCN mentioned cleaning it up some but we'll see if we can't get it updated as well.
