Help Download of message New Message from _ was unsuccessful.

I've seen a few of these threads around these forums and tried all the solutions people have come up with. I'm getting this error when Wi-Fi is not enabled. I've tried enabling it, error. I've restarted my phone, error. I've updated profile, android, etc, error.

If there are any other suggestions you guys have, please help. This started maybe 2-3 days ago and I'm not sure what's causing it. Any help would be appreciated.

Also, if it's any help, I have a Samsung Epic.

Wouldn't that wipe out everything I have saved on my phone? Apps, pictures, videos, etc?
