This is my first smartphone (and I love it obviously), but Im not sure if this expected or not, or if I am doing something to cause this. A coworker on an iPhone (is that a swear-word on here?) can get about 3000-4000kbps download on a 3g connection. Why are my 3g speeds so low?

Did some updated speed tests, and holy cow. The 4G LTE is blowing away my home wifi connection!?

Home Wifi........................3g (at work)....................3g (within sight of tower)...4g LTE (near tower)

What network is your coworker on? I believe that has a good bit to do with it. Personally, I get about 0.5 Mbps up & down on 3G.

My 4G is 15 down, 5 up... which is better than my home wifi. It's pretty wild.

I don't see any issues with your 3g speeds, those are pretty normal.

Coworker who has the iPhone is on AT&T I think. Kinda depressing he gets almost 4mb down at work, while mine is around .6mb

Oh well, glad to know it seems pretty normal. I'll hold off storming into the VZW store like a total newb wanting to know why its not as fast as my friends.
