Help Downloaded K 9, now what?

I downloaded k 9 mail app to allow me to be able to mass delete emails on my samsung fascinate. now, how do i stop my emails from going to both the email app that came with phone and my new k9 app? i am so not technical! Thanks!

You have to go into the default mail program /Account Settings/Check email frequency/Never. Or you can delete the account all together.
