Help Downloaded MP3s delete themselves

[GeoJunkie]

I've got a weird problem with my Droid. It was happening on my last one, and I thought that getting a new one would clear the issue (that's NOT the primary reason I got a new one, though!) but it's happening on the new one, too. Every time I download an MP3 file, I will watch it download, then it will show up in the downloads as complete - then it disappears. I use Astro to search for the file, but it's completely gone!

Any idea what could be causing this and how to fix it? The files are off Myxer or other spots and aren't illegal copies of anything. In fact, I don't even think they have DRM.

are you sure you are browsing into the correct folder? depending on the app i use, it might go to download folder or it might go to downloadS folder etc

I'm positive. I actually tapped the status bar and watched the download. I saw it finish, and then a few seconds later, it disappeared from the download status. I then used Astro to search the entire SD Card, and then the entire file system. The file is not there any more.
