Downloaded Skydeck Caller ID and backup

[Jshizzy]

Anybody use this? Supposedly only tells you the Caller ID for numbers not in your contacts, and also features a reverse number look up. Just downloaded so I haven't used it but I am curious as if it will display cell info/number/names. BTW it runs in the background.

Also has a backup. I use "My Backup" but a little extra shouldn't hurt.

Thanks.

though im sure its based off of info on yellow pages or something publicly available. i mean where else would they get the info?

I thought the same but then again, I believe you can call Verizon with an unknown cell number, and I believe they will tell you the contact info. So why not have a database of numbers? Makes sense to me. It would keep people from prank calling, or keep ex's from trying to play games with you etc..

Makes me think of a program a friend of mine had on his blackberry. He can essentially ghost a phone call, put in a different phone number and when he calls it came up as that number instead of his. Anyone knows anything about this?
