Root Downloading from AndroidMarket to ext. memory

Hello guys,

I am writing to you because I've got a big problem. My Samsung Spica with Cyanogen (2.2.1 FroYo) have a little internal memory. Only 23 MB is free. When I try to download something from Android Market the error poups up - I don't have sufficient amount of memory.

Is there any way to download apps from AndroMarket to sd card - not to interlan memory? Only download, not install.

Greetings,
Lucas ;)

I'm not sure how to save apps to SD card, but one way to solve the problem would be to free space on the internal memory by moving pictures, music, etc. to the SD card. Just go into network settings and set USB to Mass Storage and move them on your computer.

I am also finding my sister's Galaxy Fit odd. i dont remember doing anything to it but it defaults installation to SD card even if there is still 80mb free on the phone. I had a problem with an app that needs to be installed to phone on it. :-)

That should make the phone install apps to the SD Card by default. Unfortunately, there's no way to download the apk to the SD and install from there, the file will install itself on download.

Chanchan, to revert it back, replace the 2 with a 0 or a 1 ((0/auto, 1/internal, 2/external).
