Help Downloading images via MMS

Just got an S2 that replaced my Galaxy S that I lost. Both phones on the Bell network Canada do not download pics in the messages. Just say's "downloading" and there it stay's. Is this a problem with Bell or is this a problem with Android phones? Neither of my daughters cheap pay as you go phones have any issues like this.

I did a search for this issue on this site but came up empty. Just a lot of complaints about similar experiences with different Android based phones and multiple carriers.

Edit: Enabling packet data resolved it. So I guess Bell won't let me use WiFi for MMS. Nice.

Do you have any other network connectivity like the browser? If the phone is new you may need Bell Canada to help you setup the network APNs which is like a login client to your mobile network. These can be setup manually or sent via sms from the network carrier.

Yup. the browser works fine over WiFi. Seems like the cronies have taken hold.

Vodafone UK won't let you send or receive mms via wifi either.
