Root downloading roms without computer

yeah, that is how I've always downloaded roms, kernels, radios etc. directly to the Tb.
to me its more of a hassle to download to your laptop/desk top then transfer to your phone.

I have a file onthe SD card that is separated with al of the different roms radios etc. so if I want to flash a different Rom latter on its there.

I use skyfire to download the roms, and then use Android file verifier to check the md5.
I've never had a problem with any download just make sure to check your md5's

Astro also has an option to allow the browser to download any file, and you can ce the md5 sum with astro. I personally can't stand skyfire.

this is the only reason I use skyfire. for downloads
they always download without problems/errors

dolphin and opera mini, are great for everything else

You can also use the xda and rootzwiki app, assuming you d/l your ROMs from either site. I'm not sure about the phandroid app because I don't use it (needs updating/UI overhaul badly)

I like the phandroid app, I haven't seen rims posted here anytime recently however.

Do you know of the premium app still has more features than that market phandroid app?

i use the phandroid app alot. its simple so it loads fast and doesnt use much data. ill admit its a lil bland, but it works well for me,since it i dont have much time to check in at stops.

as for downloading roms, ive never liked using the phone. i have a fast computer and fast internet, and the rom transfers to the phone alot faster than it downloads it ;)

99% of the trouble ive seen with bad downloads were folks using the phone, seems the phone is more likely to get interupted or confused in the middle of it than the computer is.

nothing wrong with using the phone to download if that what youre preference is,just make sure youre not using rom manager to download  and you are checking your MD5s.

astro works to check md5s,but scary aliens android file verifirer is a great app that does alot of other things

I keep a copy of my current ROM in dropbox, so I can reload anywhere. I keep a text file with the MD5 in there, too.
