Downloading to SD card

I used DoubleTwist to get all my music from iTunes.
I was curious, how long do you think it should take to download around 900 songs from DoubleTwist to a Class 6 Micro SD card?
Thanks!

That's what I thought...it ended up taking more than 2 hours.
Perhaps my micro SD card is not really a class 6.

It depends. dT will reformat song files to fit your phone's requirements and this can add extra time. what was the file type of the original song files, pre transfer?

Not sure what the original file type was, but they were songs from my iTunes library.

its usually much quicker to take the card out of the phone and stick it in your computers card reader.

With an adapter of course.

Even with card readers your speeds may vary.

I have 3 laptops and all three of them transfer at different rates, but overall they transfer much much much much faster than leaving the card in the phone to transfer data.

I put the card in my laptop. I was just shocked that it took so long.
I spent the extra money for a class 6 card thinking that it would speed up the time.
